Just wondering for those of us that are going to be buying the full game, will there be a discount for us/first few free or something?
Just curious how it will work between those who paid and those who are just playing the free version. Not trying to be greedy or entitled or anything just curious how it will work.
Also either way I’m excited to play and I’ll be buying the second it’s up for sale on Steam.
I don’t expect the devs to pop in and answer this type of question but based on what we’ve heard, the first one will be free to anyone who buys the campaign. I do not know of sny further information on that front.
Yea i think once they announce the release date they may even announce different editions of the game and I know I will be buying whatever edition comes with the most content ex. future DLCs battle passes etc. hopefully they have a master chief edition or something like that to go ahead and pay for future DLCs ahead of time and maybe pay for the first few BPs at least.

There is no ‘full game’ to buy. You buy the campaign.
I think the Multiplayer segment of Halo Infinite is being defined as it’s own thing. You’re only really buying the campaign as multiplayer is just free for everyone.
Battle passes will have free and paid tiers anyway. You’ll be able to partake in the season and earn rewards but you just won’t have access to the paid progression path.
Considering each season is quarterly so every three months it’ll be pretty easy to get enough MS Reward points to essentially buy it for free.
The first Battlepass is fully free to people who buy campaign iirc, I’ll try and sauce that quote and edit it in

Would you guys be able to source where you saw this?
I heard the first season was free for everyone, not just people who bought the campiagn. Isn’t that what Unyshek said in the interview blog for the Multiplayer reveal?

Yeah cause I haven’t seen anything about the first one being free, but I could have missed that announcement.

Then I hope the campaign is going to be like twice as long as all the other campaigns because a 8 to maybe 10 hour campaign might not be worth $60-70 to most people if there aren’t extra’s tacked on.
343 has not said anything about the first battlepass being free with the campaign (or otherwise). Not sure where y’all are getting that. Y’all might be confusing that with how the Yoroi armor will be free for playing during Season 1.
The Campaign needs to stand on it’s own two feet. It’s up to 343 to make it value for money. With the game itself and it’s replay value.
Besides, MS don’t want you to buy it outright. They want you to use Game Pass.
People have to face up to the reality of this divorce. Our parents (Campaign and Multiplayer) are now living in separate houses.

I think that’s what they were thinking as well
Campaign should come with perks, seems dumb for anyone to purchase a 10hr campaign for $60 when you can play through it just for a single dollar. Though I’m gonna be one of those dumb ones since I buy every Halo game, but there has to be perks. Not everyone will buy the game, especially it being campaign only. I feel like a years worth of Battlepass would suffice with the campaign unless all the future DLC will be free at purchase, or do Game Pass users get the free story updates as well? Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Guess I could always play the story in Game Pass then buy the full game down the road at a discount.
