I know Microsoft is trying to move away from exclusives and make their games (including Halo) into a service that you can play anywhere rather than a game you just play on one console. But my question is on how exactly will this work? I know they have stated that if you get the Xbox One version, you can upgrade for free if you get the Series X at any point. But if say I buy a Series X and get Infinite, could I then play that version of Infinite on an older system, or will it work the other way around. I ask because I may wind up being the only member in my family to get the Series X, so I would like to know if it would be possible to still play my copy of Infinite on my Brothers Xbox One X or would I have to buy a separate copy? Also does the upgrade only apply to the digital version of the game or will it work for physical copies as well?
