Ok so in cryptum there is mention of 11 or 12 halo rings but in the games there is only mention of 7 rings. does that mean that some one goofed on the back story or is that only 7 rings currently reside in the milky way and the others are elsewhere???
maybe it 's just my imagination ,but hopefully they will explain it in later books of the forrunner trilogy…
SPOILERS
3 Got destroyed and I think 1 went missing.
The builders made 12 different halo rings that were originally going to be used. The librarian had 6 others under her control. When Medicant Bias went ramplant he took control of 5 of the 12 and started to attack the capital. The other 7 of the 12 tried fleeing to the ark through the portal active near the capital, one made it through and another was destroyed in transit as the portal collapsed. so the 7 halo rings in the game are the 6 controlled by the librarian and the one that made it through the portal. Also the original 12 Halo rings were 30,000 km in diameter instead of 10,000 like the ones controlled by the librarian.
