I am wondering if you have to do this with your personal score on FFA scoring, or if you can get it by setting Team Scoring on and getting a collective score of 40,000. I know in Halo 3 you had to make your own score equal to the achievements, team scoring didn’t work, but in ODST you only needed a team score of 200,000 per FF map, instead of doing it alone.
Yep, team scoring should work.
IME, you can do it co-op with team scoring but to get the challenge, each person has to get the 40,000 points.
at least. that’s how it’s always worked for me.
For me, as soon as I didn’t die 3 times and got 40000 points the challenge completed even though I was still completing the mission. I’m wondering if you could not die three times, gets 40k, then die a third time and still get a completed challenge.

you don’t have to complete the campaign mission to complete this challenge. once you get the points you can save and quit.
