I have a question about the campaign and I’m wondering if any of you can help me out. Be warned, this will spoil the ending.
In the game, we get a first hand look at Arbiter and the civil war on Sanghelios. However, near the end of the game, the Arbiter wins that war. In addition, Jul Mdama is dead and most of the covenant has been wiped out. So here’s my question, with the civil war having ended, is there still a Covenant? I don’t possibly see how they could come back in Halo 6, but it’s weird to think that Halo 5 is the last game to feature the Covenant. It somewhat makes sense since Cortana’s Guardians at the end certainly wouldn’t allow civil conflict to exist, but it’s really hard to believe that the Covenant is done with.
Maybe I have it wrong and it wasn’t actually the war that ended, but any help would be great. I’m mostly just looking for clarification. Thanks!
Well towards the end Cortana did send out a call to all different species. Maybe she will recruit those that wish to join her in helping AIs claim the mantle and “keep the peace”. This could be how we end up fighting Elites, Jackals, etc. along side prometheans. Just a thought. I hope they do something to keep up the enemy diversity.

That’s actually a really interesting concept! I hope they go with that. Not only would we be able to fight a lot of the original Covenant species, but it would also be a near way of introducing a ton of new species. Thank you!
