Question about the armors

Does the armors have any worse or better protection, or all got the same?
Have searched the net for info about this, but found none, and I know people here got the answer I’m looking for.

Thanks in advance!

As in the armor effects the game? Nope, its all for looks. Some say that bulkier armor is easier to hit though, but I find it easy to hit everyone equally.

All the hitboxes are the same regardless of the armour you are wearing.

A little ego maniacal are we???

Yes but the only fine print i would put on this is flaming helms.

Blue or Orange, they are easier to spot. I was in a BTB one time and holding down near our sniper spawn to keep sniping ( also was going for the long shot cheevio ) when i got a message from the other team telling me that he/she was not the only one on that team. I wondered at it for a second until i spotted my next target. After a hit to the body with the ol’ four shooter and a pop in the head with the DMR i noticed the name of the kill, the same person who sent me a message. They had an orange flaming helm so it was like a moth to a flame. I was not trying to pick on this person, but the flaming helm was easy to spot from the background compared to the rest of the team. Because i use the sight acquire fire method, they where the one i was killing the most. Also using them to find out the location of others on their team.

So there is no benefit from any armor other then looking cool, with the side not of some armor effects make you a magnet for long range shooters.

that is why i am so perplexed at people wanting the flaming helms, yeah it looks cool… but i would rather look like a dork then be more noticeable to the people shooting at me.

I heard that some armor effects, such as Inclement Weather (not sure but maybe Pestilence too), can somehow affect in a bad way your vision (there are some little sparks in that case). Is that actually true ?

The armor choices you make in Halo Reach bestow any boosts or upgrades to your Spartan. No defense, speed, or attack boosts. Armor Effects also do nothing besides look cool.

It’s all for looks, that’s it. I hope you found this be helpful :).

No, your vision is not obscured by the clouds or lightning effects on Inclement Weather.

However, Inclement Weather, both flaming helmets (blue and red), Pestilence, and Heart Attack make you easy to spot on a map. Take this into consideration when you have these Armor Effects on.

The flaming helmets are the worst, because it is saying to everyone, “Shoot me where I am on fire”.

Some helmets actually do affect gameplay. Some helmets attract more headshots than others.
