Is there even a remote reason for why every time I run solo in Swat (or any playlist) I get matched against teams of 3 or 4 and my teammates are always horrid? Almost every game I can drop 17+ kills but Im lucky if 1 kid on my team breaks 10? Even going in and looking at the CSR of the players on my team compared to the other team I always get stuck with the lowest skilled kids in the lobby.
I guess you could call this a rage post but how am i so posed to feel? Every game I play its a slaughter fest because my teammates are so incompetent. And im not exaggerating when I say I always get bad kids on my team. I can confidently say that running solo 90% of the time I get matched against a stacked team with horrible teammates (go look at my recent games). Making it absolutely impossible for me to rank up my CSR and it makes the game just all around frustrating to play.
And before anyone says anything I am fully aware that in the individual playlist all that matters is points, not wins and losses. However in my experience I only rank up when I top the board on points compared to my team as swell at the enemies and its almost impossible to do that with teammates going -10 - -15 feeding the other team kills/points every game. So my question arises. Why do I play against teams of 3-4 when I run solo?
Halo hasn’t had a great CSR system since like Halo 3. The thing is though they probably won’t implement a CSR system in the next update with all the stuff they have to do with Halo XBOX ONE. It’s either that Halo 4 has a system with pairing a good player with a bad team to thinking it’s balancing the odds or that the low population isn’t effective enough with their latest system.

The CSR system works fine; it’s the matchmaking that’s broken. I looked up the game that the OP posted:
> Like lets take the last game I just played for an example
>
> Kills:
> Me 34
> Teammate:10
> Teammate:7
> Teammate:4
Here’s the CSR breakdown for the game:
CSR 45 (him), 23, 24, 15
Total CSR = 107
vs.
CSR 32, 33, 42, 27
Total CSR = 134
The matched CSRs are blatantly imbalanced. The difference in the sum total of CSR between the teams is 27–comparable to the other team having an extra player.
Now, the game ended with the close score of 60-57, so one might say that matchmaking did a good job. However, I say that it is not fun for lesser players to consistently get beat down by better players, nor is it fun for better players to consistently lose because of bad teammates. I Boxer I is good, but was not able to win the game faster than his teammates could lose it for him.
Low Populations tend to make the system not work as well. While I can say it is alot better than Reach’s(hardly had a game where there are guests present unless in a very low populated playlist), it does need improvement. Both on matching, and how the game judges who is the better player.
I don’t think CSR is the problem here. H3 CSR was more competent due to the large population. It’s Monday morning, I doubt the population is high in Swat and even in the evening it’s nowhere near H3 population.

Would you rather me refer to the majority of the population that I run in to. Which happens to be under the age of 18 anything else? Would children be a more acceptable term?
With that aside I decided to run an experiment. I sent out mass invites to people (good and bad) and was able to run a full party of 4 for 3 games just to see what would happen and its true. When you run in a full party you get matched against really bad players. I had 1 50 and 2 47’s playing with me (I was a 47 at the time) And we continuously matched people that were low 40’s high 30’s. It made things way to easy. So they key is run in a party and match bad people. But I feel bad for the people that aren’t that good. It must suck to always get slaughtered.
I would like to note that some people I notice are putting it up to low population however I would think that when 1500-2000 people are playing that matchmaking should be able to match me in a game with players of equal skill on both my team and the enemies.
SO! My entire teams CSR’s are below 15 and we get matched against a party of 3 with CSR’s of 36 up to 48. Not only is that completely unfair but thats a freaking CSR difference of 84! That obscenely huge on top of that fact that its a full party! And to think I payed 60$ for a game that I cant enjoy. I just played that game. And As i’m typing this there are 1501 people on and this is what I get stuck with!?! I understand some hidden factors might come into play that could cause some of my complaints but this one is just ridicules. Words cant describe how frustrating this is.

All the memories of playing on my CSR 50 in Team Infinity in Halo 3 .
I feel your pain, OP. This happens to me quite a lot but I jump around playlists quite a bit in order to ease the angst. I’m no star player, but I’ve lost count of how many games of SWAT that were won solely due to my own or another player’s singular exploits.
Half the time my team mates are AFK or feeding themselves to the opposing team like there is some sweet armor unlock for most deaths accumulated ever. It’s just the way the cookie crumbles.

Really? Was that necessary? I made a valid point and the both of you want to ridicule me about something as petty as me describing H3 version of trueskill as CSR. Very constructive and mature.
