Before the game came out, I remember reading somewhere that there was going to be some kind of a perk that helps you earn more xp and rank up faster if you equip it early on. Which one was that again?
its a specialization called Pioneer. You cant use it till you hit SR-50 and if you got the early access code which shows all the specializations.
