Hi! Does anyone know what “online squads” is and how it works? They said in the chart that online squads will still be available after services sunset but I don’t understand what this means. Does this mean partying up for campaign or firefight?
I think it means online matchmaking services will be shut down, but custom games and campaign will still be available for online play. That’s just what I think, though, no guarantee that’s what it actually means.

I believe you are right. Looking at the chart, custom games will still be available. Seems matchmaking, service records, and challenges are the main things being deactivated.
Thank you both. That’s what I think too but they didn’t clarify. They also clearly mention that matchmaking won’t be affected for Wars and Spartan Assault, so why mention them anyway? They aren’t affected in any way.
So I am wondering about this “online squads” too. They did not have this option in the affirmative of negative for Halo CEA, but currently, you can play the campaign cooperatively online. There is no matchmaking function to that but is that staying peer to peer and still functional?
Is online co-op for Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST, Halo Reach (custom firefight or campaign) still going to be playable online but peer to peer only?

Was thinking the same. Maybe listed them bc 360 games now delisted digitally?
Assault has a dedicated XB1 version (from reading, better res & fps) & Wars has definitive edition.
Add/Edit: CEA shows no changes bc it’s multiplayer was really part of Reach? … I guess lol. Chart is strange.
Does anyone know what the ‘extras’ for ODST means?

Yes, however, if online squads is what we think it is, it should be listed as supported or not for CEA.
I’m hoping Service Records are frozen instead of deleted. The post wasn’t specific about that…

That had to do with the Reach beta.

Halo 3s service record I believe you will still be able to see, it’s only going to be Halo Reach and 4 where they will be removed. The day or so before I’m going to use my capture card to go over my service record in those games so I still have a record of it. Xbox dvr would work too.
