question about non online FF games

so im trying to get the commendations for FF but i just find that NONE of the FF game types are long enough like they used to be, its 1 or 2 rounds and thats about it.

if i just play a normal FF on my local 360, will it count for any thing or what?

playing the current games just arent enough.

You can’t get commendations in custom Firefight games, only Matchmaking, if you are looking to do Commendations, Firefight Doubles & Arcade are a great start.

FF Doubles features limited which is 30 minutes of FF Survival, while Arcade features infinite lives, easy mode with powerful weapons.

Limited goes on for either all 30 minutes or until you run out of lives, while Arcade is either 3 rounds (one set) and a bonus round or twenty minutes.

yeah ive been playing them all back and forth, arcade, doubles and score attack too.

but even then, the games i feel are just too short compaired to how they used to be, i think it was what? 4 sets or soem thing and then the bonus rounds.

oh well, guess thats all there is to it thanks

There was never a full on infinite Firefight playlist on Halo: Reach, it has ALWAYS been limited, no idea where you are getting ‘how it used to be from’.

before they changed FF to what it is now.

there used to just be arcade and FF limited with 4 players, just like in arcade, but it was limited.

if you killed the covies fast enough, you would fight 3-4 general waves, im sure it was 4 because then you had 2 of each, then the bonus wave that also depending on the game type, depended on what you fought ether, like elites, hunters … and skermishers? instead of ONLY grunts, game type mattered.

Rocket attack = fighting eleites and i think they had over shields or some thing but were really strong.

Arcade has barely changed since release, they added Arcadefight and that was it I believe.

Nothing has changed other than new gametypes.

No they did change it a bit more.

you are right about Arcade having not really changed, what i think they did was replace normal limited with double instead because i used to play limited 99.9% of the time because for the most part the games were longer and you faced almost every enemy type in there … save for the buggers.

it was clasic? reach FF in limited, playing with 3 other people, arcade never really did it for me but after the change, i mostly play score attack.

dont know why they removed limited from what it was but … eh they did
