Is it true the game browser will only work on Halo 3? Really?
I for one am not sure or certain, but guess the only way to really find out is wait for that week to come.
I heard the flight is coming on the 24th is that true?.

As per the latest flighting news update (posted on 2/19/21) it seems that if all goes well they plan to flight as early as Thursday, February 25th. At this point in time, it looks like the customs browser will be added into the flight 1-2 weeks after it starts (it won’t be in the flight at the start).

Where did you hear this? This is not true. The custom games browser is supposed to work for (almost) all titles in MCC. Now it is entirely possible that the only game in the flight will be Halo 3, in which case in the flight you would only be able to use the customs browser in Halo 3, but this does not mean that will be the case in the final game. I’m also not trying to say for certain that Halo 3 will be the only game in the flight.

Wish I had saved the link but it was on 3 videos that I saw on YouTube. They stated that when the Custom Game Browser was released it would be for Halo 3 for testing. So I hope your are right bud that the Custom Game Browser will work for all Halo Games in Halo MCC and for PC! I have 6 maps that was modded. Halo H2A, Halo 3, Halo 4 and Reach.

I mean I think the back half of what I said there pretty much accurately aligns with what they were saying: “it is entirely possible that the only game in the flight will be Halo 3, in which case in the flight you would only be able to use the customs browser in Halo 3, but this does not mean that will be the case in the final game.”
As I posted before with the picture of a mockup of some of the UI for the customs browser (taken from the September 2020 MCC development update) there’s buttons in there for selecting each Halo game that has customs. There’s literally no reason to have all of that if it’s just going to be used for Halo 3. And that UI is already in the game and can be enabled through modding (although it does nothing right now). As far as I know we still don’t know what all games will be in the flight. It’s possible it’s just Halo 3 (and I’m pretty sure Halo 3 will be in it) however I have heard nothing about it being only Halo 3.
I am confident their intention with the customs browser is to make it usable in all games (but it seems not ODST). Having it only be for Halo 3 is entirely contradictory to people’s expectations for the feature and I’m sure if they were going to do it that way they would call the feature “Halo 3 Custom Game Browser” not “Custom Game Browser”.
