On the Massage of the Day screen, part of a message says “completing placement matches in any playlist to receive a REQ Pack containing two existing emblems and XP Boosts”. What exactly are these existing emblems?
If I recall they used to give an emblem for the previous season as long as you ranked in at least one playlist. But they stopped the emblem awhile back. So perhaps it’s the old ones for any players who don’t have them yet. I got a season pack this season and it just refunded points and had some reqs in it.

I was thinking the same thing. I have the first 10 season emblems but stopped playing arena cause I got tired of the stress involved. I’d rather play WZFF. The thing is that a couple of seasons ago these existing emblems were also offered and I did’nt get any pack even thou I ranked in the playlist. So I was just wondering if I should jump back in and play arena for the emblems I’m missing. My last game was in November.

If you aren’t one of those players who have to have everything I wouldn’t worry about it. They are just emblems that are on the screen a few seconds that no one really pays attention too. I only rank FFA as it’s the only rank I really care about and enjoy getting. Playing what you enjoy is what matters most IMO. I didn’t get all the stuff in previous Halo games and I don’t lose sleep over it. I never got recon in H3, I never got inheritor in reach… Doesn’t matter … just like anything in H5 won’t matter once Infinite drops.

Maybe Its a refirment to the req start of the season but i cant’ confirm at 100%
Since they stopped giving unique emblems for the season I’m pretty sure existing emblems means any emblem available in the REQ pool (not locked behind commendations or levels).
