If we now can get access to Netflix, YouTube, and Machinima without needing a Gold membership, can we also get Spartan Ops?
I don’t mean to nag, but I can only afford one Gold account and there is another Spartan in this apartment who would like to have that on her service record. And for that reason, she doesn’t want to play as a guest … or at least that’s her nice way of getting out of playing Halo with me 
I’m not sure, but I believe you must still have gold for Spartan Ops, since it is part of Halo 4, while Netflix etc. is part of Xbox live. But who knows, hopefully I’m wrong.

I just don’t see why we need to pay $60 for Halo 4, $60 for my Gold subscription, and $60 for her Gold subscription just to play what is essentially Firefight, which was included in previous games.
I do not think it will not require a Gold subscription still. I believe only apps are losing the paywall.
Sadly, I think it will be the same.
It shouldn’t require gold, specially seeing as there is no season 2 in halo 4.
It blocks content and it was one of the many bad ideas that was implemented into the game
