So I have a question about the position of the Narrative Director. There’s the writers and especially lead writer who work on the games. The authors work on the novels and comics. While the screenwriter/author I’m sure is able to tell the story they wish, the Narrative Director has a say. So, does the Narrative Director talk with the author & screenwriter and talk about where the narrative should go?
Narrative director is also the screenwriter, as are fellow writers under him. Think about what Neil Druckmann at Naughty Dog does. He’s a writer and Creative Director. He leads or co-writes the stories and helps direct what the overall game will end up being, as he did with Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us, and as he’s doing with TLOU Part II. Don’t know if he’s working on Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.

I thought it was more of a Kevin Feige position. They oversee the Universe and have a direction for it. I think lead writer writes the game while Narrative Director oversees the game and ensures it goes along with the vision. Also, does I imagine the ND meets with the author of the novels, much like the lead writer.

Quite possible. I don’t know these positions, so your best guess is probably better than mine. Well, mine wasn’t really a guess…more of an assumption.
