I’m planning to go to the midnight release at gamestop. I preordered my copy limited edition halo 4 a couple months ago, and today my dad got a text from gamestop(Hes the one that bought the game). The text said to finalize payment at 10pm. What does that mean?
What happens when I finalize the payment and how do I do it? Any help would be appreciated
When you pre-ordered you only put some of the total cost down. So the rest needs to be paid by 10:00 pm. So just got to your game stop and finish paying it off. You’ll have the game paid up and can get it at midnight.

See that’s what I don’t get, my dad was there, but I payed 100 dollars in cash, so I shouldn’t have to pay anything else.
I think the limited edition cost a little over a 100 maybe. Otherwise ask them at your game stop.
Was it an automated message? If so, they probably just send the same one out to everyone without referencing the database containing payment info.
If you’re sure you’ve paid it off completely, then all you do at 10:00PM is get in line for your (almost) final receipt with the ticket for your place in line. A little before midnight, everyone lines up in order and you get your game.
But I would check. My total was somewhere around $106 with tax.
I have a few related questions as well:
if I didn’t preorder, can I buy one on the spot during the launch event?
Limited Edition is no longer available for pre-order. Would it be available in store during launch event and after?

For every midnight launch, gamestop requires that you check in with them to verify that you are the person that pre ordered that game(or you have the correct phone number that was associated) and to also check if you have fully paid off your copy. They then hand you a hi-lighted receipt, validating that you checked in and you stand in line till midnight.
I got the same text message to which only reminds you that you have the game pre ordered.
So I get there at 10 get the receipt. Do I just wait there for 2 hours? Or can I come back at 12 to get in line?
