Question about matchmaking, trueskill or csr?

Quick question. I havent played Halo 4 in a long while. My buddy just picked it up so I decided to get back into it with him. I played a decent amount when it came out. Point is, my CSR is nill, I havent played any CSR games before yesterday. However, my trueskill would be relatively high (in theory, but who knows for sure)

My question is, when finding opponents for me in matchmaking is it finding players with similar CSR, similar trueskill, or both?

So if my trueskill was, in theory 40, and my CSR is 10, what type of opponents will I be matched to?

A) Trueskill 40 but any range of CSR
B) CSR 10 but any range of trueskill
C) Trueskill of 40 and CSR of 10

TrueSkill was reset when CSR released so you’ll be matching other players who don’t have a CSR rank or in a close proximity of that.

Interesting. It does seem to be finding low CSR. I was just curious of past trueskill also mattered since the quality of opponents in infinity slayer (in ad admittedly small sample size) was a lot higher than I expected for low CSR. Meanwhile in Big Team Battle (where I never played so my trueskill would be low) the quality of play was about as poor as I expected.

If trueskill was reset this wouldnt explain it. Could just be that I ran into 2-3 games of players like myself who are coming back to Halo and have a low CSR.
