If I beat Halo 2 with the Scarab skull on will it still count for the armor unlock?
And does it matter if I beat a game Co Op?
Skulls and players dont matter as long as its beaten on Legendary?
If you have any skull that adds a 0.00x multiplier to your score, achievements will be disabled. So you cannot unlock Helioskrill with Scarab or Bandana skull on. However, co-op will count towards getting the achievement, so don’t be shy about asking for help.
I recommend going to Youtube and looking up walkthroughs to help you out. For example, Hokiebird has guides for beating every Halo game on Legendary.

I beat H2A with the scarab skull on (and some others)
Now you wont get the achievement right when you beat each level BUT…
this is what you do after you beat a mission with a skull that gives 0.00x and disable achievements:
From the main menu go to Halo 2 (or which ever halo game you’re playing) > then go over to missions > and look at all the missions you have completed and you will get your achievement.
When you beat the whole game on legendary you will get the achievements for it this way as well.
I got the achievements this way.

Can anyone confirm that this still works? I want to try it, mainly because Halo 2 is completely unfair anyway, but don’t want to waste that much time.

Amen to that. I got as far as Delta Halo using speedrun strategies until I realized that “Off the rock, through the bush, nothing but jackal”'s strategy entailed both sword flying and the envy skull.

Let us not forget that Gravemind also exists. The scarab skull is my only chance of beating that, with out envy or sword flying like you said.
Halo 1 wont be a problem, Id just play it CoOp for the achievement.Halo 2 is mainly my question because its totally unfair and it has Iron always on. But if that way does work ill give it a shot later on. Ive made it up to Delta Halo with the Scarab and bandanna skull so far. Ill try to do finish Halo 2 to try it out today or tomorrow and report back

This makes me feel like a boss fir beating it legendary solo no cheats. I can say I was abke to beat the bullet sponges of halo ce, the random spawn jackal snipers of halo 2, ect. You don’t deserve the armor for using an OP skull. Hopefully 343i did a patch to prevent it. Eveytime I play halo 5 and see others with that armor I wanna think “this guy is a hell of a player” That armor should be for legends only, those that beat mcc SOLO ON LEGENDARY no skull cheats.
yes im a 6kd player halo 4 is a breeze for halo 1 put on boom and grunt funeral and its a breeze then halo 2 is just garbage and halo 3 is kind of a pain

I beat Halo 2 on the original Xbox, and have already beat Halo CE and 4 on MCC. I have no desire to go through Halo 2 again, but I won’t get Helioskrill despite beating the OG. So, I am going to use the scarab gun for 2. It is a broken game on legendary with RNG snipers and brutally hard missions. It is my favorite game don’t get me wrong, and I enjoy it on legendary, but I don’t want to go through that again. 
Honestly Idk how I even beat it when I was younger. Then again, I don’t know how I beat many games when I was younger.

Why do people do this… just for achievements? Are you kidding me play the game how its supposed to played. I swear if there was an activation where the enemies got even harder using those skulls… serves you right.
