Question about Halo 4 Forward Unto Dawn part3

may contain spoilers involving the show, you’ve been warned

so i was watching the new forward unto dawn episode and i was wondering, did Dimah (the blonde girl with the awesome accent) die or not? i noticed she took the little elavator think and I couldn’t tell if it went up the pillar in the middle, if it did i presume she was one of the bodies that fell to there death when it was destroyed, but this doesn’t make any sense though becuase she was shown in the trailer in parts that haven’t been released yet, anyone know because she was one of the only hot girls in the series and it would be a real shame if she died…

Im guessing that she died. I see no way you could survive that.

I can’t imagine her surviving that…

> I can’t imagine her surviving that…

yeah, oh well, she was a brat to that marine anyways so i guess she deserved it, if only she had listened.

> I can’t imagine her surviving that…

shes secretly a robot

:open_mouth: woah, spoilers! lock the thread!

i don’t think so, unless when she was falling she took an ODST pod and boom, survived.

but now that i think it i think she is the one that falls in the last part.

so sad she was hot

There could be some safety thing on that elevator thing, which allowed her to safely land?

Who died? I’m assuming the legendary black woman and the badass colonel survived, along with all the main characters, besides the blonde one. But only the next episode will tell…

She dead!

The raining bodies part pretty much confirms it too haha

lol wut?

Unless the lift was fast enough to get to the other side before the Covenant blew it up, she’s dead.

I don’t know. Perhaps she didn’t even make it that far to be one of the falling bodies.

If she was under the point where the bulding got blown up, then she might have a chance, but otherwise no.

I hope that Commander survived. You know, the woman that gave Lasky the paper to sign-off. I forgot her name.
She seems like a great character to me.

Well let’s re-think the episode, when the Corvette’s all appeared, they shot at the Space Elevator, then it collapsed, then a few minutes later, all of the bodies came down smashing into the Academy.

The Space Elevator got her up really high, but she certainly didn’t make it, otherwise there wouldn’t be all these bodies falling from those who were on the current ride up.

But we didn’t really see the elevator going up. As long as we know, it could have been the group that went before them, if any went before them.
And wherever they were supposed to go with the Elevator, I suppose there would already be people there. It doesn’t mean she want up there when it got blown up.

Watch the Elevator as soon as the camera angle snaps to it.

You’ll see these white lights move up, that is the Elevator itself.

She does indeed go up it, and she definitely doesn’t make it to the top before the Corvette takes a shot at it.

Clearly there is no way of knowing for sure but in my opinion the clip with the falling bodies would be put in to signify her death but I’m no cinematic expert an P.S I love your reason for carrying if shes alive or not XD so true!

Safe to say Dima is dead. You can see her making it just past the ships as they fire on the space elevator. Said elevator came crashing down. Guess what that means? Even if she made it to the top and the top remained in orbit above the planet, the elevator quivering earlier in the video signifies that there was something happening to the elevator. That means the top probably got hit first. That’s reinforced by the Covey ships descending vertically along the elevator.

As for her snobbishness…

Can you blame her? Put yourself in her shoes: You are in a place that is considered safe and life is pretty regular and all of a sudden all hell breaks loose and your world is turned upside down. You are scared and only worried about making it out alive. There is a shuttle right in front of you that is about to go and a guard isn’t letting you on. You got an ace in the hole and you use that because you want to live. But man… Hindsight is 20/20

I don’t think anybody could survive that.

So because she was a bit of a jerk, her death by the Covenant was totally justified?

those scenes in the trailer could be in the extended edition.
