If I used the codes on the receipt of the game and then return it to them, will they check to see if I used the codes? and will they still be valid if i used them after? i returned the game?
You mean the pre-order bonus codes?
yea, that’s what i’m talking about.
> If I used the codes on the receipt of the game and then return it to them, will they check to see if I used the codes?
It is likely a gaming vendor employee will pass on the code to a friend. If you don’t use it, someone will.
> and will they still be valid if i used them after? i returned the game?
Going to say yes, they will remain active in your account.
A used game is a used game, rarely do they ever, ever have goodies in them.
So your just buying the game to get the codes then return the game unopened? Seems a bit shady
Then again, you could argue that pre-order bonuses themselves are shady. If everyone is paying the same price for the game, they should all have equal access to the content offered. I’ve always hated pre-order bonuses, especially when different retailers have different bonuses. However, that being said, it is kinda messed up for the people selling it. I don’t have the heart to return it after getting the bonuses. I feel like an a-hole. Instead, I pre-order from every retailer offering bonuses, use said bonuses, then sell all the unopened copies (except for one obviously =P ) on amazon. And since I payed full price for all of them, 343 doesn’t lose any well deserved profit either =). Everyone’s happy; The retailers get theirs, I get mine, and someone out there gets a new game for 5 dollars less. And the wheel of commercialism keeps on turning

Haha, i’m acutally gonna return it for the limited edition if they have it, and they won’t let you return the game if it’s opened
