I’m not saying I intend to do this, but if I get 1 kill and hide the rest of the match, could I get banned?
I don’t think you will because there is a lot of people doing it. But don’t. You ruin the game for everyone else and it’s not cool. If you do and you end up banned, I strongly advise not coming on here and complaining, folk can be very harsh to cheaters.
> I’m not saying I intend to do this, but if I get 1 kill and hide the rest of the match, could I get banned?
Technically, no. You’re theoretically playing the game.
Just don’t flaunt that kind of behavior around towards other people (especially mods and admins), otherwise you could get banned.
I’ve said it numerous times, but I’ll say it again. AFKing acts as a disservice to the player. If you just take the time to actually play the game, you’ll earn more credits in less time than if you AFK. It takes longer to earn credits when you AFK.
“I’m getting other things done.”
^Yeah right, you’re getting a whole lot done in less than 15 minutes by going back and forth between your controller and your other responsibilities. Real good management of time.
Just my two cents, Cold.
Play the game the way it was meant to be played.
You can, but it proves that you aren’t a very good person. Its pathetic and sad to see it happen because you detract the fun from everyone else. Its better to play it with more people then a few in my opinion and having 4 players but 2 of them not doing squat is horrible.
Don’t listen to the people who are saying no. You will be banned if you were to repeat this, as there have been waves of ban hammers on people doing this in the past, I doubt they have stopped.
The first inheritor in fact was banned from doing this, he got ~5 kills, then hid (I forgot his name it was like Xx slayer? something xX).

SaviorSoul wouldn’t have been banned if the community wasn’t so obsessed with him.
He would’ve slipped under the radar, statistically speaking.
People were just so absorbed with his status as a high rank.
It looks for paterns. So if it sees that your afking a lot it could potentially ban you after X amount of games
I know people who have AFK’d thousands of Firefight games, all they do is get a few kills then hide. So no, I don’t think you will get banned for it, however it’s obviously not in the spirit of the game and you’re going to annoy a lot of people.
Chances are if you AFK for too many games in a row, you will get banned. You’ll also be very unpopular with the other players who may end up reporting you.
If I can tell you are AFK from your game history, I’m sure the Banhammer can. If you go +100 in your last 10 games, and then go +10 for the next 5, I would say you are AFK. I’m sure there are other methods of detecting AFK activity as well.
AFKing is pointless you get banned i just enjoy firefight but like everyone else i get teamed up with AFK’ers and second controllers that don’t play. just play and enjoy the game and for all you AFK’ers theirs custom challenges try them instead (sigh)
peace guys.

Nope.
It’s 100% safe to get one kill then stop playing. I got my Inheritor by AFK’ing so go right ahead and enjoy those easy credits.

I have the right mind to report you, sir.

Ignore this.
You will be banned. Once is forgivable, twice is pushing it, three times.
Banned.

Another person who took advantage of the AFKing was cloudpsider aswell but he got away with it.
Anyways i so wish i could believe that the banhammer does ban people who get 1 or 2 kills in FF, i see the same people doing it over and over again and nothing happens to them
YES! It will get you banned for a month!

Yep.
He got away with it cause he wasn’t the FIRST to hit Inheritor, so he wasn’t as “famous.”
sad
If people want to get a few kills each round then hide to get their perfection commendation up I’m fine with that. It’s the people who don’t get any kills at all or just 5-6 at the start of the game (or in the bonus round) that annoy me - they should be banned.

I still fight in FF when I’m going for Perfectionist, but I do stay in the back to play it safe.
