Question about Credit Jackpots

I never quit an online matchmaking game while mid-game, but I also never see the “huge credit Jackpots” they advertize for players who don’t quit games. My jackpot payouts rarely reach 1,000cR, and only once did it hit 3,000. Is this because I play campaign games? I wonder if paying a campaign game and choosing to end the game instead of playing all the way through every time counts as quitting a game early…

Its just random, keep on playing and you’ll get it soon.

This “huge credit jackpot” Bungie talks about is this 3,000 cR payout. It’s completely random when you get it and not like “you’ve played X games in a row without quitting, so here you are.” And if you’re playing campaign, you can’t get the jackpot because there’s no slot machine. Playing co-op campaign in matchmaking works, however, as does every other playlist in matchmaking.

Okay, one of my friends said there’s a 300,000 credit jackpot, and the little statements they put up during loading screens kinda made me think you’d experience jackpot-payout growth over time for not quitting games. Thanks for clearing things up.

i’ve never gotten it either…then again i mostly play firefight

300,000? ummm idk about that… but then again the highest jackpot I’ve gotten was around 8000cR…
idk

I got 2 6000 Jackpots within 9 games of Arena about 4 games after getting booted from a BTB match earlier today. Guess you’re just getting unlucky.

ive never seen a 6000 one… ive only seen 3,000

I’m pretty sure the maximum jackpot is 10,000 credits and it’s random but the chances of getting one are higher the more you play.

there is no 10,000 jackpot.

rarely there is a 6000 jackpot, happens in arena and premium playlists mainly.

3000 is the staple jackpot, the message about not quitting is a lie, i have received the jackpot within one or two games of quitting.
what mainly happens is, for example, if you are playing BTB and your whole team quits and you stick around i would predict a 9/10 chance you will get 3000 jackpot.

ive been playing nearly every day for a whole year. the above information is based upon my personal experience.

I often hit a slot machine of 3,000 cR, which is the main jackpot for players. I’ve rarely seen any “super jackpots” since the switch from Bungie to 343i, however I did have a jackpot of 15,000 cR last week. I believe 343i increased the challenge payouts to compensate the removal of super jackpots.
