Question about collecting skulls

I’ve just about finished the campaign on Heroic. I finished level 13 last night and will be starting up level 14 today after work. After I’m done with Heroic, I want to collect all of the skulls (I only have like half of them right now).

My question is, can you resign after collecting the skull on a level or do you have to complete the level to claim the skull?

Sorry for my ignorance… I’m just getting back into Halo Wars. After I collect the skulls, I’ll be going for Legendary campaign…

Once you have the skull you can quit the level. You don’t have to finish the mission.
