So in H3 lag wasn’t a huge issue for me
In Reach campaign lags terribly with even 1 additional player
I ackowledge I’m ignorant on this subject, but I just never understood why I could run 16 player multiplayer with NO visible lag, I play BTB constantly without issue. Then I put campaign with 1 other player and it is unplayable.
Has this been accounted for and fixed for H4?
Either way after seeing some of the viddocs it looks amazing and I’ll get it either way, just curious for campaign though.
I know what you mean, this puts me off co-op campaign/firefight completely. Don’t know why there’s this annoying lag delay for those game types and no competitive matchmaking
Lets hope it’s fixed

We don’t know, we can just assume and speculate on the issues of lag and framerate problems for Campaign. Unless one has a pirated copy, there is know way to know all that.
For Reach’s cooperative experiences over xbox live (Co-op Campaign and Firefight), it used a different system than MM. Megalo or something like that. Sadly, it tended to lag more often than not.
I never experienced lag in a Halo game until Reach. There was always a delay in Firefight and matchmaking campaign which just made me give up with them both very quickly.
I really hope that delay isn’t in Halo 4.
Pirated copy? You wound me good sir.
I am a die hard fan and would never dream of taking money away from the franchise!
I purchased the original Halo on xbox
I purchased the original Halo on games on demand, foolishly thinking (Don’t know why I assumed this) that it would include multiplayer, so then I gave my hard copy to my friend
I purchased the Anniversary CE
I purchased H2
I purchased Legendary H3
The damn disk stopped working so I bought it again
I had sold my Xbox and games to pay for medicine for my wife, later when in a better financial situation repurchased along with another H3
Bought legendary Halo Wars, played it a ton, sold it
Bought ODST twice
Bought Reach, played it so much became unplayable and purchased yet another copy
Would I pirate OTHER games? Sure if I had the chance I’m sure I would, but I love Halo and know they can’t continue making quality games if people pirate them and they don’t get their revenue.
Yeah I hope it’s gone in H4 campaign and spartan ops so I can actually play with friends again.

It wasn’t an accusation and if it sounded like that, i apologize. I meant as if someone actually did pirate the game, not specifically you.
What i meant was only those who played the game early like that would know about those issues (sort of).

The way I understand it, is the AIs are at fault. For AIs you have scripts and other coding that make up the AIs, tells them what to do if they see an enemy, what do do if the enemy is in a vehicle, throwing grenades at them, or is firing rockets at them, and what other AIs are doing. And on top of that, you need to sync all of the “Copies” of the AIs on each player’s Xboxes together, so Player 1 doesn’t get killed by a Elite in Player two’s view, which kills player 3 in player 4’s views, and is already dead and gone in Player 1’s and 3’s views. It’s like trying to watch a TV episode on Hulu in 4 different windows, even tho it’s all the same video, you still have the starting time, and the different ads.
the lag that you run into in online coop, is the 2 or 4 Xboxes talking to each other saying “Elite minor 1, Grunt Major 2, Grant minor 3-6, and Jackal minor and major 1 are here, firing these weapons, at player 1 and 4, Player 3’s sniper round hit’s Elite minor 2’s head, and player 2’s grenade has X 2 secs before it explodes at the feet of Grunt minor 1 & 2, next to over turned warthog.”
Coop, is the same, bug instead of syncing the AI’s and all of it’s coding what not, you have the basic player commands that’s the same across the board. But instead of the game moving the characters around and doing the thinking, it’s Humans that do the thinking and moving.
I never really had a problem other than the graphics going to -Yoink- in split screen. The lag is usually slow internet or a bad host.

Hehe welcome to Reach
where apparently the game causes it’s own lag.
