One of the achievements is to beat Halo 3 in less than 3 hours on legendary. I added up my times and it is under three hours. I didn’t get an achievement though. Does it have to be solo? My time is a mix of co-op and solo.
Has to be one or the other, all co-op or all solo. If you have a mix it won’t unlock
The achievement is called Devastating (had to look it up).

Achievements
We have included several fixes and updated details on earning achievements:
Monopolized, Devastating, and You’re Joking – last week we applied additional checks to ensure these triggered, and some players are still reporting that these are not unlocking. To earn these achievements, players do not have to complete all the missions in a single run through. An updated verification check to these is coming in a future update. If you meet the criteria for these achievements, they will trigger automatically when this verification check goes live. NOTE: These achievements only trigger on the main menu.
We are also investigating reports of save/resume functionality for both missions and playlists which can affect progress and achievement completion.
We understand that many of you have earned achievements that do not appear to have registered.
To verify the status of your achievements, please go through the following steps:
- Open up the achievements app on your Xbox One dashboard and open up the tab for Halo: The Master Chief Collection.- Browse the list of unlocked achievements for any that you think should have triggered.- If the status says “Done…unlocking”, the achievement and Gamerscore are pending and will be granted in the near future.- We continue to monitor the status of these achievements and many of the ones in this state should be unlocking this week for players.Also on 12/7/14 another content update stated:
Made an update to ensure that the “Devastating” achievement unlocks when prerequisites are met
It does not specify what the prerequisites actually are to unlock it other than the obvious 3 hours on legendary.
As the above user stated, I found another place stating one of the other:
“HOWEVER, you MUST complete the campaign in either solo OR co op completely for the achievement to unlock. It will not unlock if you have a mix of solo and co op levels completed.”
