Just for my curiosity, what were the nameplates awarded for?
And - this is a recent thing - I’ve noticed clear plates…
Nameplates were offered by Bungie as a way to recognise those players who had been loyal to Bungie and played thier games over a number of years. You got access to various different plates based on whether you have played All the Halo games or just a couple and their major previous title to the Halo series, Marathon.
Clear plates I am pretty sure are a mod so anyone you see with them wont last long before they are banned from XBL for breaching the T&Cs of thier XBL contract.
