343 classifies the needler and sentinel beam as smgs so by their line of reasoning a human smg would be superfluous, which is total BS

5, there should be a gun mount on your helmet linked to your A.I. where they can indiscriminately fire at their leisure.

I’m pretty sure the commando was to replace the smg. Especially at launch because it sure kicked worse than the smgs lmao

Ironic because SMGs had a nice 120 round mag, and the Commando an abysmal 20 rounds.
Ahhh so that explains why the Sentinel beam has such horrible range

Indeed., it really needs a bigger magazine. The kick was atrocious at launch. Its a little better now but still not what I would call a desireable weapon lol
