What is up with the lagging in Halo 5 pvp? In the last month it’s gotten so bad I hate playing now … I realized today that this isn’t fun anymore it’s frustrating …
It’s not my internet, I have Google Fiber and have 100.1 mpbs upload/101.6 mpbs download and a 4 ping with an open NAT … 'll shoot someone 7-10 times and they don’t drop but they shoot me once and I’m dead or they spawn on top of me or appear out of nowhere, etc … my favorite is being shot through walls or when someone isn’t even facing me and they kill me … wish i could shoot that well while not even seeing someone …
And 9 times out of 10 the guilty party is someone from outside the USA …

I would do a hard reset start to your xbox and power cycle your modem and router if you have one. If your a US player you should in most cases have decent gameplay. Not perfect by any means. The servers as of late seem to be a bit off right now. If you want to get an idea of what your ping is to Halo5 servers ping Azure server locations. That will give you an idea a bit. As far as players from outside the US being in your game there isn’t much one can do about that. That is because there is no Region Lock anymore… Good luck!

Just because you have 4ms ping on your speed test, doesn’t mean you have 4ms ping to the server you are connecting to. Ookla’s speed test selects your closest server, not the average of all servers. Your Xbox One may also not be running that speed. I know this because, although my net speed is 50 down, 10 up, and 20 ms ping to my closest server, my Xbox is only running 24 down, 1.6 up, 273ms ping. So I think you’ll find that it may actually be you.

I run multiple tests using all the servers/sources available and then average the numbers … it’s very reliable … Also, this is’t an issue on any other game I play except Halo …

well, i’m not sure how great of an advantage it really is since i’m at the mercy of players with slower connections that create similar effects that you are experiencing … i wish that the game matched up regionally and by internet connection so that player experience would be more aligned …

Absolutely agreed. I once got a rocket Mary medal and a suicide in one rocket… across the map… I’m not exactly sure how or why.
The lag is crazy nearly every game I play I’m getting -Yoinked!- when I know I pump the opposing player and yes it might be because I’m from Australia and our internet sucks hard thanks pm but it could also have something to do with servers I’m thinking

I’m pretty sure that that just means the H5 servers aren’t the greatest

Not very well sometimes I can’t make normal jumps I triple clamber it’s pretty brutal
