So a serious peeve that’s been rearing its head of late: PvP exclusive challenges. These are challenges that can’t be done against bots. Why is this a problem? Because a lot of these challenges are very specific, and I can’t just ask my enemies to help me complete them.
Example: “Kill an enemy Flag Carrier in PvP”. On paper this is simple; if it was against bots then this would be trivial. But in practice this is extremely difficult. That’s because most players aren’t dumb enough to just let me pick them off.
Flag Carriers will often “juggle” for a speed boost (more RNG), drop the flag and shoot back (losing the opening), take low profile routes (no sniping), and have a teammate escort (no rushing). So all in all it comes down to blind luck that I happen upon a Flag Carrier at just the right time to secure a decisive kill. All for 250xp… 350xp If its the x3 version! And their are tons of challenges like this.
At least with bots I can somewhat predict what actions they’ll take and what skill level to expect. Live players can’t be lured into an ideal scenario like a bot; ESPECIALLY when they’re acting abnormal to complete their own challenges. Its just a madhouse at that point.
