PvE mode tied to campaign?

I was playing Infinite with some friends last night and one of them asked where firefight was and another one didn’t know what it was at all. I explained to him that it was basically Halo’s version of zombies from COD, because that’s what he’s familiar with, and it got me thinking. COD releases zombies alongside its full game releases, not with their f2p modes. Do you think we’ll see the same thing with Infinite?

They’ve made a lot of comments about your multiplayer Spartan being part of the universe and having their own stories, so it really wouldn’t surprise me if they made firefight (or a similar mode) only available to those who got the campaign. I could definitely see them taking another shot at something like Spartan Ops and trying to tie some storytelling elements in with whatever the PvE mode ends up being.

At the end of the day, it could be another incentive to get people to go out and buy the campaign and, on top of that, want to spend more on microtransactions so their Spartan looks exactly how they want in this new mode and maybe even cutscenes if they go a Spartan Ops route.

I doubt we’ll get much, if anything for the multiplayer when the game “officially” launches in a few weeks from now, I assume a PvE mode is either in development or not a concern for 343i, it’s sadly probably the latter

either way, a PvE mode would be appreciated, not everybody enjoys constant PvP experiences.

If there was a firefight or a Spartan ops it would have been announced waaaay before now.

There 100% will be no pve mode besides campaign at launch. It might come later in some form like it did for Halo 5, but expect to wait a hell of a long time for it.
