Ok, I am a first time player of Halo so please forgive my ignorance. What I don’t understand is the scoring system on big team slayer, which is mainly what I play. example… if at the end of the game I have got 6 kills and 2 deaths, then why do I finish well below a player who has got 12 kills and 18 deaths, similar assists.? I realise that the types of kills are factored in. It’s great that you’ve got them 12 kills, but the 18 deaths are points for the enemy team. And isn’t the point of a team based game to achieve victory for your team? Hopefully some one will explain this to me.
The person with the most points is on top no matter what. You get more points from kills and medals, but dying doesn’t take any points away.
every time you die you should lose points. that way the smarter players, who contribute rather than run in and get a kill and die, would be rewarded more and don’t end up wondering why they did “worse” than a 15-20 player. but that would make too much sense.
His score was higher than yours.
Whoever has the higher score gets placed above others, regardless if they kill less than you.
There should be a point reduction at the end tally for deaths. Seeing someone at the top who gets 14 deaths more then you, but a couple more kills is kinda lame.

This kind of scenario should be rare and it is by design.
The players than run in and die a lot don’t get the double kills, the triple kills, the killing sprees (or many of the other medals) - they only gets point for their kills.
Players that die less, get better sprees, better kills, better medals and therefor more points.
yea he could have been negative 20 but if he has more points than others he will be placed above them. Still Halo should of just kept going with 1 kill equals 1 point.
