I just played trials evolution’s editor and I think halo 4’s should be like it but even better. Ideas anyone?

Rocks, trees, bodies of water, and season changes (snow or storms n stuff).

:sand - brute structures (like sandbox)
also landscapes where we build, space, nature, cave, underwater…?
Simple, just like Halo: Reach’s, and it should stay that way. Of course, more vehicles, more items, more colors, etc., but not nearly as complicated as Trials Evo.
This would be amazing:
A holo-deck on the Infinity is the hub for Forge. When you select Forge, you see a preview of the holo-deck as a big empty room with a grid. You have options, now. You can choose the size of the map, the theme of the map (environment), the shape of the map, and lighting/ambient effects. After these settings, you jump into the holo-deck as a monitor and begin to edit just like before.
You now have a large array of tools. Objects can snap to a grid. Objects can be glued to each other. Objects are able to be resized and mirrored. Structures can be highlighted and copied, cut, pasted, shifted, mirrored, flipped, or saved as a “structure template.” The amount of pieces in Forge are immense; three times as many as Forge World from Reach. You are not limited to which pieces you can choose depending on the map. You have access to ALL Forge items.
This would be ideal.

I think a Far Cry style terrain maker would be great, along with a Reach-like Forge system (with more textures, options, vehicles, etc).

When you hover over an object, it says what the object is so you dont accidently grad the wall underneath the spawn point.

A selection menu in the options for before you start the game. It would allow you to choose which players have forging capabilities. This could lead to new gametypes like forge war.
More DV capabilities for much in depth maps.
Edit: Bodies, destroyed vehicles, bullet holes, and fire.

I can’t count the number of times I’ve accidentally deleted or moved something, and having to fix it manually.

So true…>:)
Just keep it as what it is in reach, but with more skins for the forge-able objects. And also make it so that we can make caves into the sides of mountains, like if you put a tunnel type object into the ground, it will not be filled in by the ground. Or be able to build stuff underwater and not die when we fall in.
I would settle for the ability to actually create environments like control rooms and the like, I love forging, but it’s so bland as far as environment creation goes. Also I feel like the constraints on the budget are really limiting as far as creativity goes.
I’ll compile a list of the things that will make me FULLY satisfied with Halo 4’s forge mode:
-Copy and Paste feature.
-The ability to ‘weld’ two items together.
-Different sizes of elevators, similar to those in Halo Reach’s mission - ‘New Alexandria’.
-A few different forge maps with their unique objects, NOT GREY.
-Buttons that open/close certain doors.
-Automatic doors.
-I think in falcons, you should be able to go into the item properties and edit:
Turret type: Grenade launcher/Standard turret.
Number of passengers: 0/1/2/3.
Pilot turret: On/Off.
-EVERY vehicle in the game’s campaign, you should be able to put in forge.
-Undo button.
The above would make me completely happy with Halo 4’s forge, anything else is a bonus.

How about a mirror option, so symmetrical maps can be made more easily?
Vehicle customization is a must. Chain-gun Falcons, GL Falcons, Rocket Hogs, Missile Hogs, etc!

I gotta go with a mirror or atleast a copy paste option, I’m working on a map right now and I would kill for that. Also a snap to grid or snap to object option would be great for lining up walkways and the like.
