Put the radar back in ranked for god sake

I think social should change more settings to make it feel more social and manageable for those getting on for something a little more manageable in their down time. A good rule of thumb is actually what we’re talking about. Especially considering the big differences from the MLG playlist in h3 to the rest of the base game. Ranked had ranked settings, and mlg took it further with 110 BMS, 110 damage, 90% shield recharge rate, and motion tracker disabled.

This worked great for 3, but for infinite I’d put it like this

Team arena (our current settings for ranked)

Ranked would be our current settings but with motion tracker as it is now, and it would include a few playlist perhaps

Doubles should be team arena settings imo, as well as ffa, snipers

Social slayer and social objective

Increased radar range, hit markers on grenades
BmS 90%
Shield recharge rate 110% (because our default regen seems to be reminiscent of the mlg settings from h3. Haven’t tested this but the first thing I noticed going from 5 to infinite was that it took longer regen shields. I could be wrong.

I think that’s about it. Stuff could be tweaked here or there if needed. We do need more playlists for sure though man.

Ranked removes the radar. That’s how Halo has always done it. Go back to any Halo and see for yourself.

…nah fam. you must be new here. maybe 343’s halo’s haven’t had radar in ranked (5 & infinite) but halo has always had radar in ranked. MLG playlists in h3 and reach did not if I remember correctly, but ranked always did and should. There’s no reason for it not too.

The biggest problem with ranked is 343 tries to make it like HCS. I blame the current state of gaming. Everyone aspires to be a video game pro streamer so ranked turned into a wanna be HCS. I don’t understand why they can’t keep the two seperate, and have an Arena playlist and also an HCS ranked playlist with HCS only settings. Would be so much better

Definitely agree with this. I’m fine if they want to make a playlist to keep the MLG crowd happy, but that’s not what everyone wants. And another playlist just seems like the perfect way around it. If Halo 3 could manage all it’s gametypes and people could still find games, infinite can manage at least one more.

Halo ranked has never had radar. Thats part of the MLG Settings. They need to increase the radar range for quickplay/anything outside of ranked. But ranked needs to stay the way it is, it’s one of the few quite well balanced playlists in this game.

Or are you saying the OP thinks Halo Infinite had a radar in ranked so they should put it back? Because that would be ridiculous.

Most people here, including the OP are talking about Halo ranked in General and weather or not Infinite should be like the older games. You are the only one fixated about this topic only being about MLG/HCS settings.

I didn’t play MCC for over year and half. I don’t remember radars in rankeds since H3.

…in which game? H2, H3, Reach? Because all 3 of them had radar in every playlist besides MLG & SWAT.

Literally the only halo that didn’t have radar for ranked before infinite was halo 5…

I prefer it without radar

the sound is too bad though honestly to NOT have the radar.
I can not even tell when i get shot at first often in this Halo.
Full burst goes unnoticed along with the bouncing grenades.
I like the no radar in past games but with the sound issues it just makes me want it.
Fix the sound and i would have no issue with no radar.

Factually incorrect. It gives your mind one more thing you need to focus on, given that you aren’t built with an innate radar sense. Movement becomes important because then crouching matters. You can outplay people by giving them false movement information. Playing by audio only gives you the freedom of mind to focus only on your shots as your brain reacts to sound direction subconsciously. Crouching becomes almost irrelevant, movement mindgames become easier to do. I don’t care either way, it does feel incomplete, but its not a huge deal. I’d much rather them completely nuke BR starts, as that almost completely removes the sandbox.

Yeah people here are just pretending otherwise or are clueless. The ranked playlist in this game is the equivalent or the Hardcore/MLG/HCS playlist from the past.
