Put the radar back in ranked for god sake

Exactly, either you’re agreeing with me or you mentioned the wrong person lol

Having a radar takes no skill.
Sorry but no one is ever going to convince competitive people otherwise

At the very least it needs to have Friendly-Only radar so I can tell if that noise I heard was a teammate or enemy nearby.

I’m not being an elitist. I’m stating simple facts. The official tournament settings disable motion tracker…there’s obvious reasons for it. You can’t debate them. Simple as that.

When’s the last time you seen hcs have swat in the matches? Case closed.

You could argue that you want motion tracker in ranked, a lighter competitive playlist that isn’t the tournament settings. That’s fine. You can’t just say it’s a different skill set…on one hand we have matches where we’re just playing the game…settings matter to an extent…on the other hand are matches that matter with careers on the line and prize rewards…the difference is apparent, and the settings are used as I said…for the obvious reasons I’ve been stating.

You seem to be missing the point. It can’t be argued that a playlist with motion tracker is more competitive or takes more skill.

Wrong. Ranked games never had radar. Deal with it.

Maybe I read it wrong. I thought you were saying if the playlist doesn’t have the motion tracker, it’s basically cod. So if you want to play cod, go play cod and give us back the motion tracker because that’s halo.

My bad G

You are free to jump into ranked in MCC and see that Halo does, in-fact, have radar in ranked.
I believe the original Xbox and 360 severs are now shut down but even back than we had radar.

Yeah lol that’s exactly what I was saying lol

Huh??? The only MLG/HCS playlists to have radar are H5. Team slayer doesn’t count.

Compromise idea: A “Classic Ranked” Playlist. It still uses the ranking system, but has settings like previous ranked game modes. BR+AR start. Radar On. Friendly Fire on.

The MLG playlist was added to Halo 3 a year after release. Majority of Ranked Playlists in majority of the Halo Games have had and still have a radar.

As for Team Slayer, if it is categorized as Ranked than it is Ranked. None of this “I don’t count it nonsense.”

My brotha, everyone’s talking about ranked as in MLG/HCS playlists. This is what Infinite’s ranked playlist is except with Behemoth.

No need for it, half the Players don’t even use their Radar in Socials to begin with, Start being cautious with your surroundings & know where they’re pushing from, it’s pretty simple to do in Ranked

Mastering the art of knowing and processing the entire environment around you, player positions and sound queues included, is part of the challenge of competitive play. Radar takes away from that.

The radar’s completely useless anyway. Why would you wanted it in ranked?

Majority of people here, like the the person I responded to originally to which you to said “Huh??? The only MLG/HCS playlists to have radar are H5. Team slayer doesn’t count”, are speaking about standard ranked. The OP is clearly not talking about MLG/HCS playlist. The people saying “ranked never had radar” are making blanket statements which are not differentiating MLG/HCS playlists. You and @pheinted are the few talking about tournament settings.

I agree with you two. Those settings do make matches more competitive. But unless others mention MLG/HCS I am not going to assume that that is what the people mean by “Ranked never had radar.” I am going to take their words at face value and assume they are speaking about every Ranked playlist. Preferences aside, those statements would be false.

I agree that it’s not needed and that just because other games had a radar in ranked does not mean ranked should still have it. On the other hand the radar in social is impossible to use due to it not working.

No Radar promotes -
Communication with teammates
Grouping up in the team shot meta
Listening to your surroundings
Being aware of your surroundings

Ranked gameplay rewards being aware of your surroundings. The radar undercuts that. I much prefer no radar in ranked. In fact, when I play social, I completely forget that I have a radar at all.

Once you learn how to play without it, you don’t need it.

He’s talking about infinite ranked which is currently tournament based settings

I mentioned about six people there. Can you be more specific?
