You know I’m always the CE Shotgun fan but the Bulldog has been my Sally & Mustang (COD Zombies) for cleanups & having something consistent to Defend objectives I really do love this weapon

I feel like the Bulldog is a great replacement for competitive, but OG Shotgun needs to come back for things like Infection.

Reloading your full clip and reloading each shot is a big difference in games like Infection, as well as the ability to interrupt your reload in an emergency.

It’s basically the mauler from Halo 3. It is good, but does not hold a candle to the old shotgun.

It’s the mauler of the mauler had the range of the CE shotgun, which is why it’s just shy of being broken lol. If it was any more powerful than it is in any way it wouldn’t be fair at all.

For sure. I like too. I just wish we had a weapon counter for a sword. I know people say repulser and thats fine in MM, but i’d like to make a custom game that does not use equipment. Im in no rush however since CGs are kinda not all there yet.

Eeeeeh.
I think its been more of an Inconsistent Redundancy.

Like, it is literally inconsistent.
The damage output is like a slot machine,
Will half the spray actually hit something when the Latency is all over the place? no one knows!

The issue with it goes back to desync. Each pellet is it’s own projectile. It may look like every pellet is hitting but it’s not always true.

The Bulldog is different, it’s a hitscan cone of damage with a range cutoff. It’s like shining a flashlight at them over and over.

The Bulldog is great at finishing weak opponents, but it just cannot in my eyes beat the Classic Halo shotgun, most of the new Halo players are just never gonna know that feeling of being 5-7 meters away from your opponent, pulling the trigger and having them instantly keel over dead from a single buckshot to the chest…

Even IF the Bulldog now has the range and RoF to contest from further ranges on average, it just doesn’t have that oomph… if the Bulldog had the ability to One Shot from Point Blank range it would honestly be perfect, until it does it will always be inferior to me…
