I was kind of saddened when I heard that the remixes to the OST wouldn’t be implemented in game. As some of them set a nice tone, Ascendancy remix and Beauty of Cortana in particular. With Beauty of Cortana, it sounds like it goes from describing this elegant and amazing woman, to this angry and merciless vixen. People don’t like the metal music but it adds to the atmosphere. I definitely enjoy the beginning of the Ascendancy remix.
Also some of the remixes could be used for eater eggs, like the dancing covie easter egg in reach? I can imagine some remix music being thrown in there. Lastly, I rather hear different music rather than the same 15 tracks being replayed continuously throughout the campaign. Maybe there should be a choice to keep the remixes on or not during the Campaign and Spartan Ops or even play them during multiplayer.
It would kinda break the mood Halo 4 is giving… if i suddenly hear Trance music from Sander van Doorn while destroying the Covenant en Prometheans it would ruin it for me…

I happen to be listening to that remix right now, this is something that can easily be used for an easter egg.
Infinitely looping music has plagued Halo for far too long. There should be an option to disable music instead of having to find out how to disable it manually (often in CE and H3, it was a matter of waiting before progressing. In H2 and Reach, I believe the only way to nullify it was to progress or to kill certain enemies).
Some people care more about the atmosphere than listening to loud droning music that nullifies dialogue and some of the best moments of combat. I hope 343 have considered this (not mine but I share his opinion).
I would prefer Haven of the mixed music out of all of them, but only if it was the end music or had a reason, a legitimately dark and beautiful(such as the music’s feel) reason for being there.
Other than that, I’m not too supportive of this idea.
