Before you start going “whine whine halo has turned into cod enough” do us all a favour, shut up crying because of halo taking ideas from other sucessful shooters, did RAGE copy bloody pong to you lot too?
I was only talking about a minority here…
More on topic.
Im going to use cod and battlefield as examples in this thread.
One of the best things about cod/battlefield and many other shooters is their “Domination/Conquest” mode. It is the most competitive mode in the game series and is the most popular mode for both games.
If you do not know domination is where a uneven amount of flags ( 3-5 ) are placed around the map according to the layout of the map. 1 flag will always be close to the spawns of both teams in order for them to get the game going and the other(s) will be placed around the middle or the same distance away from both teams in order to stop one team having a advantage.
And below i will try to convince you why domination should be in halo 4.
MLG: i don’t see any problem in term of competitive gameplay when it comes to domination being placed into halo, i can easily see domination infact becoming a main part of the MLG circuit if it was placed into halo 4 as the objective play combined with fast paced action and map flow being directed towards the flags would create a extremely powerful competitive atmosphere.
Fun: by far on cod/battlefield this is one of the, if not the best gamemodes. Why not put one of the funnest gamemodes from other shooters into halo. Even when played casually it is awesome, why not add points towards ordanance when a player caps the flag to motivate noobs to capture flags?
Attracting new players: if 343 is making the game for new audiences (cod/bf3) why not take the biggest objective gamemode from their shooters into halo 4. This will make them feel more comftable in the new game as tey are familiar with the gamemode, this only goes with 343’s intentions.
Put it into halo 4!!

Um, Territories called . . . they want to talk to you.
Territories. Cod stole it from Halo.

This, LMAO. Put down the CoD, pick up the Halo 3.

Oh thank you, please make somthing that contributes instead of hurling pathetic insults that don’t even explain your reasons…
I do hope there is a version of Territories that is more a back and forth affair. I would love that in Halo rather than the 4 round attack/defend in Reach.

Wow you don’t have to be like that.

Oh wow, real way to contribute to the topic at hand. You could at least be nice…
I’d like a playlist like “Search and destroy” where everyone have one life but it should be done Halo style like instead of bomb it’s territorys, ctf or slayer etc
Im more of a response to everyone unfortunatly territories dosrn’t have to much of a fast paced “take this!, oh shi- defend that!” sort of pacing to it, while i think territories is a good gamemode, it needs to be modified to fit a larger audience.
And btw, the name domination was a sort of comparison, like hell it would actually be called domination!
I don’t see a problem with this. People are so prone to see things through an anti-cod lense that they can’t objectively think about whether a suggestion like this would be fun or not.
I think it would be. It’s would just be a game mode, not a major change to the core of the game.
Its already in halo its called 3 plots. Its not territories but they are similar.

It’s the same thing though, literally, the same thing bro.
The only difference is capture times, capture radius, and flag placement . . . which is all customizable. Literally, territories and domination are the exact same thing. If Domination seems more fast paced, it’s because of the game it’s being played on. CoD is naturally, very, very fast paced (in my opinion, a little too fast), so naturally Domination will seem faster, while to two gametypes are, realistically, the exact same.
Yes, they should put a conquest version of territories in more playlists. Definitely.
In normal territories isn’t good enough, because in Halo 3, unlike conquest, the flags would lock when you captured them, and a new round would start. There was no back and forth tug-of-war type fighting, which sucks.
Put conquest-style territories into matchmaking!

google territories
Also territories didin’t have a dedicated playlist i believe ( bit rusty on H3 playlists mind me ) and if 343 want a bigger audience making it a dedicated playlist would be a good choice to consider.

I hate the way you take a flag and then oh look sprint over here cus they took the one you capture 30 seconds ago. Most the game is sprint in a circle without much killing and you cap flags way too quick. It’s fun on BF3 because it takes longer and there on big maps most of the time. Also on BF3 it’s more like tug of war not circle of sprinting. You have to push through the enemy’s flag to get to the next one unless you in a jeep or jet.
