GoW is a different game. A much more linear one. Bungie have stated that they can’t do it, and if those most familiar with the code say it’s impossible then it is. I feel the system is fine how it is. Sure, quitters may ruin some games, but the inability to join games when they’ve already started creates a clear sense of winners and losers. I quite like that. What could be done, to prevent quitters, is that if someone leaves in the pre-game lobby then the system looks for someone else to replace him. Everyone wins this way.If you get a gamtype you don’t like you can just leave before the game even starts, and the team you left won’t be at a disadvantage as they’ll simply get another player to replace you.

The game would be terrible with bots. If you think GOW owns Halo so much then don’t play Halo, better yet don’t make threads that are complaining about something you don’t like that have no real discussions available.
I think Bungie have done just fine with the current system in place, the only reason so many people are against it are because they don’t comply with it and they face the consequences that come with it.

I apologize, i didn’t mean to sound like i was having a go at you, i only just realised my reply sounded a bit harsh. I guess its easy to take it seeing we are typing not talking, i never meant to make you mad.
I was simply trying to say: I don’t believe bots are a good idea.
Keep your cool, even if you think i was provoking you, which i certainly wasn’t, just reply in a sensible manor.
Back on topic: Halo Reach’s quitting system is good, its so irritating how games like COD just have no penalty at all, you can leave when ever your getting thrashed, that’s why Halo’s is good, because you can’t just leave because you can’t be bothered or the other team is to hard.

GoW is 2D combat. It it is much easier to code AI in 2D terrain. It’s damn near impossible on the current 360 to get even 1 AI running in Halo’s 2.75D combat, least alone Reach’s 3D combat.
Too taxing on the resources with the visuals of the game combined with the speed and amount of explosions. Maybe next-gen 
You wouldn’t want that because the bots are smarter then the randoms and you wouldn’t stand a chance against them.
Even if they could do it it would be a bad idea, because the bots could be better than the real players.
Ummm whats wrong if the bots are better than some players? In Gow 2 they were a pain as they would blind fire you like crazy. But it’s still better than 4 vs 1 etc.
Bots are ok in gears because it isnt a game where who ever gets to what ever kills first wins kinda game.

Bots in GoW are incredibly stupid. The only thing that lets them compete even halfway with actual people is the fact that they cheat the system. They have perfect aim and perfect recoil control and increased damage. They can drop you with Lancer fire should you so much as pop your head out. They are also incredibly easy to dupe and kill with flanking and Gnasher fire.
Gears also has flat maps with a lot of hard angles to them. Makes it easier to program bots that way.
If you want an example of bots in Halo MP look no further than the AI in Firefight. The incredibly stupid AI. They would do nothing but feed your enemy kills and be nothing but a ball and chain to your team. Being down a man would be a better choice.
I would much rather they do something like CoD or Battlefeild were people can just pop into a game half way and fill in the spots…

That’s worse than Bots.
Does anyone ever willingly quit from a game where they are winning? Of course not. People quit from games they don’t like.
I don’t want to get shoved into that crappy game you just left.
