Put a katana in halo reach

It will be so super cool if you added it and make it where you half

to get it a the warden level or Captin please thank you for listening for my information

It’s a nice thought, but as Reach isn’t a fully supported game any more I highly doubt we will be seeing any updates made to it outside of server maintenance.

Maybe it could be added in Halo 6 in customization.

no katana

If I recall, the Katana was an extention of a variant of Hayabusa Armor from Halo 3. If 343i would implement such a thing to this game, or any Halo game for that matter, it wouldn’t be able to be the same Katana from Halo 3. Reason being is all aspects of Hayabusa was allowed in Halo 3 due to Bungie making a deal with Team Ninja. A new Katana would have to be a different blade, different sheath, and applied differently so ti would have no relation to the katana on the Hayabusa Armor, otherwise, 343i may see a lawsuit from Team Ninja if they were to re-create or use the same katana.

A forerunner Hardlight Katana would be nice as an armor backpiece, but that would have to be put onto the wishlist for Halo 6 or another future Halo title, as it most likely will not happen on Reach due to it being a six year old game.

Really what? Care to elaborate? I’m honestly confused by what you are saying ‘really?’ about. Some clarity would be nice.

Sorry: I see how it’s vague. Is this sarcasm or is this actually true? If it’s true, that’s really interesting. I never heard that before.

It’s not sarcasm at all. The Hayabusa Armor was allowed in Halo 3 due to a deal Bungie made with Team Ninja and is named after Ryu Hayabusa from Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden. Also in Halo 3’s credits, Team Ninja is mentioned. Team Ninja in turn was allowed to add in a custom Spartan into Dead or Alive 4, Spartan-II Nicole-458. She is canon in the Halo universe, but not in the Dead or Alive universe, meaning she was added for fun factor as part of the deal. You can google this if you like.

The Katana itself is part of the Hayabusa armor, which is why a new Katana would have to be created if 343i created such a weapon again for armor unless they would make a deal again with Team Ninja. Certain Affinity actually created Hayabusa Armor for Halo 4, but the Armor was never added to the game, which led to alot of speculation including that 343i couldn’t strike up a deal with them for that to happen again.

That’s really cool; thanks for explaining this to me!

I would be down for that.

Not a fully supported game so it wont happen sadly

sounds cool but i highly doubt that there will be any more things added to halo reach 7 years after release.
