I’d really like to try and understand why anyone would spend the time to sit down (presumably), sign on, pick up the controller, spend the time to wait to get into a game, and then when the game starts, immediately pick one or all teammates and start betraying people. I don’t understand the behavior at all or what drives someone to waste their time doing that. I don’t get how anyone would consider it “fun” but yet there are players out there who decide “well this game, I’m just going to be a big bag of garbage and kill my teammates for no reason”. Not talking about stealing a power weapon, they just actually want to kill their own teammates for no apparent reason.
Usually I wouldn’t think too much about it; just block, mute, and report the player, then move on. But I happened to come across the same player twice in a span of a week and I couldn’t help but think this wasn’t an isolated incident, this person really either has some mental instability or didn’t get enough attention as a kid or has some ridiculous sadistic tendencies. Obviously by the gamertag, it is not this person’s “main” account. We all play the game because its fun, but we play it as it is supposed to be played. This person might as well be going to all the recreational soccer leagues in the city, asking for a try out, showing up and then decides every time he gets the ball he’s going to kick it in his own team’s goal.
Maybe this is pointless, but seriously would like to know from anyone that knows someone like this or does this, what makes it enjoyable enough for you to forgo any other activity on or off video games and decide this is really what you want to spend your time doing. Appreciate the insight.

Why do people betray their teammates?
A: To steal a power weapon
B: Because they find the other player annoying.
C: They don’t know how to play the game or are children that don’t know any better.
D: Fun, trolling. They just watched some old videos on youtube and want to try it for themselves.
E: Boredom
F: They don’t like the cut of your jib.
G: Any or all of the above
Forum rules also prohibit ‘calling out’ other players so you may wish to edit your post to remove the gamertag link.
This happened to me one time I can’t help but remember. I was playing Breakout and kept getting the Battle Rifle first from spawn, but there was this one guy who actively tried to betray for the weapon regardless of the fact we were losing. After he’s betrayed me a few times to the point that I could kick him should he do it again, he followed me around the map DELIBERATELY weakening me so the enemy would kill me more easily. All over the yoinking Battle Rifle.

Nobody enjoys a team killer but you exaggerated this a bit. Sadistic? Really? Its a bit much to call someone sadistic over a video game I think. Besides sometimes its on accident and other times people do it for kicks and giggles. Knowing that it gets to you is what these trolls are after. They want the reaction. You learned in grade school to ignore mischievous and inappropriate behavior. Xbox is no different. Every time it happens just report, and move on. You can’t go onto forums and complain about everybody that team kills you.

I get your point man. Looking back on it, there is probably no reason to post this. You are right, ignore these things.
But in my defense, “sadistic” isn’t necessarily exaggerated. It is defined as “deriving pleasure from inflicting pain, suffering, or humiliation on others.”. If they are doing that to get under people’s skin, then by that definition, yep, that term works.
