How do I download the Halo Wars Definitive Edition?

You need to wait I think 7 - 10 days for a code to be sent. I think so anyway. (Unsure if it’s been changed or removed this close to launch)
As an extra note. Don’t think there is a time-limit on the bonus blitz packs for the Definitive Edition achievements.

Did you download the game on windows 10? How did you do it? I tried to download it on the xbox live website, but for some reason nothing happened. I might of did something wrong, but now it’s not letting me try to download it again. Says that the code has already been redeemed.

Right now I am downloading Halo Wars 2 only through the microsoft store app that comes with windows 10. I’m assuming the Halo Wars definitive edition will be available when the game releases… People have said to wait up to 7 to 10 days, buts its 2 more days for people who pre-ordered the HW2:UE
You unfortunately have to wait 7 to 10 BUISNESS days to get the code. Meaning weekends do not count, so in reality you’re waiting 9 or more days.
No, I have no clue why they can’t just email you the code right when you order the Ultimate Edition.

its supposed to make sure people dont cancel preorders to get the first game free.
also it should be unlocked for all UE people on launch day since there is already a code apart of the bundle that goes active then.
For those that wished to be able to play HW: DE before the full game released, you could wait and receive a token that would grant access to the Early Access version of the game. As the full game is launching over the next few days DE will unlock for download with the need for any other token based access. At this point you’re better just waiting for the game to release than trying to secure a token 
Do you have to log into an xbox one to link the game? I thought you could just play it on windows 10. I don’t have an xbox one anymore.
