Here’s what I’m thinking. We bring back the Pulse Grenade, turn it blue, make it EMP vehicles and buff damage to the startup and ending explosions.
What do you think? Will it happen? Just assume no (because Halo 5 is finished)

But Splinter grenades can already EMP vehicles

I know. They should remove the EMP from Splinter.
Splinter Grenades seem more versatile as killing weapons than the Pulse Grenade.

I agree with everything except the “turn it blue” part because it wouldn’t make sense. Red/orange is the color used for military stuff, while blue is the color used for lifekeeping and the other science stuff.

Yes, but I find the reason for the change disappointing.

Prometheans were blue in Halo 4 before the Didact came along, remember?

Pulse Grenades were so weak in Halo 4. That is why the OP says to give them a buff in damage.

I remember. It was because the Librarian switched them to defense mode; to protect the Didact and prevent anyone from awakening him prematurely so he doesn’t try to wipe out humanity.

Would you be disappointed if you went for a Pulse but got a Splinter instead? That’s the problem with both being orange.

And then when the Didact took control they all went orange again.

The Pulse Grenade is a completely different shape. If it were to change color, make it more red.

Correct. And even when the Prometheans were blue, their weapons were still orange.

The Pulse and Splinter Grenades are the same, they are just different settings.

To save on resources. Pretty sure they were only orange if you picked them up

I agree. That reason is complete BS in my mind.

Same as how we have MA5Ds, BR85s and M6Hs inside Forward Unto Dawn…which is a Strident Class frigate in the cut-scenes rather than a Charon, as it actually was.

Nope there were always orange.
See?

Something along those lines, yes.
Though I will note that the fact that we can’t change the Splinter Grenade back probably has something to do with its construction. The variations of the weapons in 4 and 5 are still the same weapon, just in different modes. Unsurprising to me, really, that hardlight can adapt to anything, since, you know, its hardlight.
