Pulse Grenade Buff

I feel this grenade is really weak and barely does anything unless you are playing against someone who is idling.

Along with that starting with it only gives you 1, while we get 2 of each of the other ones which in my opinion are better. I don’t get it.

Agree 100%. The only way that grenade is useful is if someone deliberately stands in the center, then waits for the explosion.

Grenades are really meant to weaken your opponent, not kill them.

I honestly think you’re just using it wrong

I’ve gotten plenty of kills using this, it’s faster than a frag or plasma if the person is one-shot, it’s great at objective denial in CTF and KotH, and it’s great for draining shields and putting people one shot for easy pickings.

Killing people straight off? Probably not the best, but you’ll get far more points if you figure out how to utilize it to the best of its abilities instead of just lobbing them expecting to get kills like frags. This is by far the most tactical grenade

with pulse grenade you can cut someones path in a narrow corridor.

It drains shields effectively and kills if someone stands inside it when the bubble collapses.

You don’t know how to use it then.

Use it with Promethian Vision and Grenadier. All of a sudden, you can see where a person is, throw the grenade right as they turn the corner, and they become easy pickings for the kill. Plus, you’d have a second pulse grenade left.

It also works great against teams or in FFA. Against a team that bunches up, one correct throw can easily get you a double or triple kill. Same with FFA, stand on the outsides and let them blow havoc with each other.

I think they’re great the way they are. They are the first tactical grenade we’ve seen in terms of cutting off routes since the fire grenades of H3 (of which, never made it into MM). They really shine in objective gameplay, and if you work together with your team, you can completely harass campsites. I am a little disappointed that I am shorted one, but I make sure to make each one count. They are also great if you can anticipate your opponent’s movement, such as making them follow you up a lift.

It seems that they nerfed the grenades so much that throwing marshmallows would be more effective. Grenades are meant to kill. You limit the amount i can carry/pick up, and you make them weak on top of that. Tsk, tsk.

I would say they are meant to weaken your opponent not kill them. Not to mention they are very good in Dominion & KoTH.

I think you should start with more then 1 yes, but then again being able to have an entire team spam the grenade into a hill effectively halting the enemy from taking the hill until the nades explode… might be a bit OP

Get the grenadier perk and the Grenade explosion perk.

You will start with 3 Frag & Plasma nades or 2 Pulse and they will all have a larger blast radius.
