Pull the inspiration from Halo 2/3

I love the maps in Halo 5, there is just a quite obvious lack of them. When making new (non-forge) maps for the game, I feel that 343i could benefit from just exploring H2 and H3’s multiplayer maps. Not to make copies or remakes, but to really find the aesthetics and layouts that people connect with. What the Halo community craves in nostalgia, the feeling that those old maps and experiences gave to us. But we also want new experiences with the games. I don’t want this post to sound redundant, but like I said… Aesthetics, layouts, inspiration, and maybe even possible recreations or reimagines. These upcoming maps just need the works, you know? The classic Halo touch to the modern Halo experience. I feel like this post has just been super obvious, so sorry about the read haha

Still not getting it. You mean how Valhalla/Ragnarok are like Blood Gulch, but not?

Sorry, what I meant is that if they make remakes, then thats perfectly fine. But I’d prefer if they just took inspiration, the look and feel, from those older maps and put that into the level design for new Halo 5 maps.

Also, Halo CE had great maps! Not ignoring them because of any reason other then how large they are. They could actually work for Warzone inspiration, now that you mention it. But I just meant like the classic slayer maps of H2 and H3, for Arena and BTB maps.

I’m fairly certain they already do this. It would be pretty foolish not to look at other successes and learn from them.

More or less. He’s asking for new maps to stick to the same concepts that defined the old maps. That doesn’t necessarily mean remakes or spiritual successors.

Examples from a layout standpoint. Prisoner and Sword Base. Wizard and Citadel. Valhalla, Daybreak, and Blood Gulch.

Lockout and Guardian…?

to be completely honest, I would like some classic h2 and h3 maps put in h5. Lockout, the pit, ect… Both of those games had awesome multiplayer maps
