Since Halo Waypoint mainly consists of 343 hate and what’s wrong with Halo 5 why don’t we talk about what 343 is doing right or good things that they’ve done with Halo? I honestly admire where the gameplay is right now of course I miss some old aspects of Halo but change is inevitable and 343 made good changes.
You guys always call it hate. Why is that? Most of the criticism is just that; criticism. If we don’t give criticism, then how will the next game be any better than this game? If we don’t give criticism, then how can we make this game better?
hope this doesn’t get locked like all my topics just like this one…
I think the work they’re doing with Forge beats any attempt Bungie or their own implementations ever did prior, no two ways around it.
Weapon balance is fairly on point with a few notable exceptions (some done purposefully), I do like the classic weapons being added as well, and this is a trend that should continue where it makes sense (A Brute Shot would be awesome in 5, for example)
My only complaints are the lack of Infection and Race, in addition to some questionable UI decisions. But overall, they are showing much more flexibility than, again, Bungie would ever humor. They will back down on the issues that show a unified front, which says something in itself. Where the issue is divisive (Spartan Abilities) they will be a lot more scrutinizing.
343 isn’t perfect, but they will take feedback a lot more seriously in the general sense.

You have a point I suppose describing it as hate is a bit much and criticism is necessary for improvement. I guess I made a pointless post. Haha

Yes then they made the req system, I could have taken the h4 multiplayer and ranking up, but I guess micro transaction won. Even in the tutorial for the req system 343 made two characters one who explains and one who is a halo fan, the halo fan gets his mouth shut for speaking back… Unless they take the req system out of h6 (or make it like halo reach) then 343’s never going to hear the end of this

this is a whole lost better than it could have been and i doubt they will ever go back to the way reach did it. however i would love to be able to customize my spartan more. like in reach even with the req system.
Getting rid of the region lock and finally adding more maps to BTB.
Besides that, very little. Unless of course you define more rehashes assets and reqs we didn’t ask for in place of much requested and essential features is doing something right.
Simple.
IMO, 343 has done practically EVERYTHING about halo 5 right.
The only issues are:
Server Issues (sometimes)
But otherwise, Great game.
Forge, adding classic weapons, adding community maps to multiplayer, that the list of everything 343 has done right so far.
OP makes sense, I myself find it annoying, meaningless to sit in Warzone games, despite the fact I prefer the mode. A big reason I can’t actually enjoy the mode is that I’m in REQ Point Profit Maximizing Mode so that I can get my shiny new mods and weapons. I’d play Arena but its not my style, despite the numerous RP/XP boosts, it just doesn’t offer much incentive for me. But the OP makes a ton of sense, this is the headline of a laundry list of reasons each primary game type (Arena/Warzone) is plagued by. The REQ system was made with micro-transactions in mind, which can explain a lot about the lack of overall content and monthly “update” support. Gimmie a break, give us a double RP weekend, give us a double REQ pack weekend, give us something instead of measly bundles that cost 20-90 dollars.

Nailed it.

Not at all. Most of the criticism includes blatant insult of content or person. Criticism should be stated in a polite manner with possible solutions.
For example, I can say, “I don’t like Halo 5’s armor designs, here is why [insert reasons]”, rather than “Halo 5’s armor designs are terrible”. That shows that:
A. I recognize it is my own preference
B. I care enough to take the time to EXPLAIN my reasoning
If you do that, that’s fine. But hate does nothing but:
- Doesn’t get 343’s attention
- Makes other COMMUNITY MEMBERS, FELLOW GAMERS feel bad
I don’t know about you, but I will freely admit I am RATHER sensitive. Meaning - when I see someone is mad, I tend to feel mad, even if I don’t agree with why they’re mad. I would PREFER to not feel mad in a place where I’m supposed to be able to freely interact in a positive environment with people of a shared interest.
That being said, OP is primarily talking about the fact that everyone is focused on criticizing, when we should take the time to praise stuff every once in a while. This achieves a balance. It shows that Halo fans aren’t ALL just hating stuff (I personally feel really dark right now because, from my pov, it seems as though I’m literally the only person who is moderately okay with Halo as it is now. This makes me feel lonely and bitter. D:)
(I also need to mention A HUNDRED PEOPLE always post on Halo livestreams stuff like “Halo is dead” and such; THAT is hate. People took the time to wait for a livestream, begin watching it, just to comment that.)
I like forge in Halo 5 and that you can clamber. I also like that you can switch seats in the vehicles. I also like the overall gameplay too.
But would be nice with infection and maybe invasion. Had tons of fun with invasion in Halo reach. They could also fix more armor on the vehicles because it is a bit low.
