If you’re new to the internet, you might not be aware that IGN are notorious for being some of the most mis-informed, sensationalist, IGNorant game journalists on the web. They consistently get things wrong, blow things out of proportion, and are simply not a reliable or legitimate source.
Think of them like the gaming press’s tabloids: Yes, they’re published and popular, but it’s all complete rubbish. Sometimes it has a basis in fact, but most of the time it’s just nonsense.
So please, stop linking IGN articles, videos, or anything else where they’re bound to get something wrong. Stop linking them; Stop trusting them.
Spot on. Also, I’ll never forgive them or how they treated the Mass Effect 3 fans who disliked the ending. They just love to stir up controversy so they can get more publicity for their site. Jackals.

Any “information” you get from IGN might have something totally legitimate, but chances are they also got something wrong. It’s usually a small detail that WE freak out about, and nobody else even notices.

What’s a false, non-opinion, fact that IGN has gotten wrong about Halo 4 since E3?

I think Time GLitch is mainly annoyed with allt he posts about the “slow” movement in the IGN videos for multiplayer …

There was something else, but I just keep seeing IGN links getting tossed around like they’re facts, and half the time there’s something wrong with them that’s totally inaccurate. I think they said that you could start with power weapons or something…
IDK. I don’t have the inclination to go out and find one right now. I’ll post when I see it.

So if people are quoting IGN’s opinions as facts, and then linking to the articles as citations… then shouldn’t you rather be advising people to cite IGN more responsibly than they have been and to ensure that they only state facts that IGN presents as factual and to not use opinions and assumptions as facts?
It makes more sense to me, considering that seems to be more of the point you were going for.
If that’s not, sorry for misrepresenting your idea.

Of course, from what I’ve heard, these were user votes… nonetheless, it clearly says ‘our (as in IGN) picks’. It’s quite evident that the CoD scripting craze has permeated their minds!
CE was the most immersive and it’s first five missions had some great variety, H2 was great as well. Both were reasonably difficult (yes even Jackal snipers and rocket launcher Flood).
Reach killed immersion. Reach tarnished all the difficulties, not just Legendary.
ReadyuPLive and H4F seem to be pretty… dumb. Like, one of them was analyzing the Spartan Ops video, and they thought that the Spartan had fingerless gloves, even though the Spartan’s armor was white.

I like Reach and everything, but there is no way that it is better than ODST, and there is no way in HELL that Halo 3 is better than Combat Evolved.

I like ReadyUpLive, and I’m pretty sure its a lot better than Halo4Follower. Especially when ReadyUpLive doesn’t talk about leaks. Its all about the facts, its no use speculating or causing hype over something that may not be true.
I still remember when Halo4Follower did a video on a new “leak”. It was a picture, of what had massive similarities to Crysis’ environments, and an obvious photo-shopped Elite in the background. Halo4Follower claimed it was a Precursor.

Halo 4 Follower had a video that showed leak images, and in one you saw the back of the default helmet, and H4F said that it was hayabusa.
