PSA:. Please do not stand on top of tank turrets.

I have been noticing this trend a bit more lately. Teammates standing directly on top of tank turrets. All this does is hinder the person inside the tank because instead of having a clear view of our site and what we are aiming at all we can see is your butt… Ever hear the good ol saying you make a better door than a window… Well its true…:slightly_smiling_face:… So please don’t stand on the tank. At least gun in the gunners position.

I do find it annoying and it’s usually the newbs that aren’t very good who do it in my experiences. What I found that can work is to just temporarily move away from the action so they can’t shoot anything.

As someone who plays World of Tanks outside of Halo, this really hits me in the gut.

EDIT: Y’all better keep my sights clear or I’ll blast you to bits, lol

Don’t think of those types of teammates as a hindrance. Instead, think of them as extra armor that absorbs damage for you, so you can continue tanking. Really, really dumb armor that doesn’t do much against rockets or lasers (but who uses those against tanks anyway?), but armor nonetheless.

Haha I always enjoy doing this when a tank driver is making a long trip, like from one end to the other on Apex 7, or when there’s a break between rounds.

Aggravation levels soar through the air after I accidentally shoot said teammate standing on my tank in front of the cannon.

A lot of times tho it’s intentional blocking, so when the tank guy fires it immediately betrays the teammate. I see griefing like this a lot with Wraiths too.

The only way to betray in firefight is splatter them. Shooting them does nothing .

Thanks op, someone had to say it. Weather on the turet or just on top, i get really anoyed when people stand on my tank. Heck, i dont even like having a gunner unless im in an oni.

When it happens to me, they’re usually standing on top of turret so they wouldn’t get hit even if I tried to shoot them. As Lethal said, you couldn’t betray them if they were doing that on purpose unless you splattered them.

They’re most likely going for “tank surfing snipe” montage kills. I respect any player who aims to get outlandish and silly kills and make them look cool.

Im currently working on my H3 Dino mongoose splatter montage. There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing foolish spartans get mowed down by an a e s t h e t i c Elite riding a mud spittin’ 4-wheeler.

This happens to me every once and a while, and it drives me nuts! I’m glad I’m not the only person who has had to deal with this!

One of the many reasons i just play on foot and don’t use vehicles.

Gotta specify that it was Firefight, OP

This can drive me nuts. I know this is not right, but I will just stop moving, hoping they get tried and bored, and move along. If they will not, then I count it as a loss, and report them for un sportsmen like behavior. Then go on to the next match.
