PSA: Legendary + Mythic Firefight Guidelines

Greetings, Spartan!

So, you think you’re ready to fight the onslaught of the Covenant and Prometheans in the new FireFight difficulties? Well we have a quick Public Service Announcement for you! If you follow these guidelines, then your teammates will envy your awesome prowess!

1) Don’t be a scrooge!

If you click that button to start searching for firefight legendary / mythic with the hopes of merely using your default or basic loadout weapons, then STOP. Legendary, and especially Mythic difficulty, require those REQs! Don’t be a scrooge and expect your teammates to carry the weight and use their REQs. Remember, the more scrooges the team has, the more likely you will lose!

2) If you don’t have the REQs, then prepare to get REQ’d!

We all know that not everyone has many of the REQs unlocked, and that’s fine! However, don’t be “that guy” who only has 10% of REQs unlocked and expect to do well in Legendary or Mythic FireFight. Not only will you not contribute to the team, but some teammates will mistake you for a scrooge! If you don’t have the REQ firepower that can handle legendary or mythic modes, then don’t play it! Trust us, you’ll be better off in the long-run if you just play Heroic FireFight and gain the necessary certifications needed to take on the baddies that await in Legendary and Mythic.

3) Be a team player!

So say there’s a boss and the team engages, but are dying from the massive amounts of MOBs that are protecting the boss. Don’t just continue to shoot at the boss and let the MOBs eat your teammates for dinner! Take out some of the lower level enemies before engaging the boss! Your teammates will appreciate it, and it will make fighting the boss oh so easier!

In another note, if you see a teammate pull up in a warthog or any other two-man vehicle, be kind and get in behind! Having a warthog scouting the area, cleaning up the little MOBs or finishing off the bigger MOBs is extremely helpful! So don’t ignore that driver if he pulls up. Give them a hand!

4) One thing to remember in the end…

It’s just a game! If you lose, it’s alright to feel frustrated and upset. Just don’t take it out on your teammates! Remember, FireFight is a co-op mode, so your teammates want to win just as much as you do! If in game, you notice a teammate not knowing what to do, don’t yell at them! Instead, just politely advise them on what REQs to spawn, or what they can do to help win the match! Kindness can return way more benefits than anger does.

NOW YOU’RE READY FOR LEGENDARY / MYTHIC FIREFIGHT! HAVE FUN!

You hit the mark!

Great post.

Thanks!

Going to try some Mythic Firefight tomorrow if I can get on (even though I told myself I wouldn’t play Firefight anymore), so I’ll try to add some of my own tips to this post.

Played 3 matches of mythic, 1st lost to a pair of op hunters and it’s super elite prime guardsmen.

2nd, jip into end cutscene. lol

3rd, just spawned like 8 oni scout hogs because I was just done… lol

It’s a pretty tough game type. The skulls actually impact the gameplay, such as black eye making you melee to recharge your shields and stuff.

Definitely a more challenging version of the current FF.

I wish more people would follow these guidelines! I played a game of Mythic Firefight, only to have 6/8 people on my team not spawn any REQs… We managed to get to the final boss, but since everybody was charging hunters with their BRs, we didn’t win… And here I was, having wasted a Hannibal Scorpion to try to win.

HC Lasky for president 2020.

A thread I made similar to this

Does MOB stand for: Massively Overpowered Baddie?

Yes sir lol

Quick question, is the rewards more for mythic? I haven’t jumped into it yet. Cause I have a feeling what others have been saying. It’s a lot of people not using req at all.

It gives more XP and REQ points, especially since it is listed as a “featured” playlist.

I also think that Mythic is only available for the weekend, while Legendary is permanent. Could be wrong though.

Maybe I’ll give Mythic a try.

It’s definitely a challenge, but I’ve enjoyed the times I’ve played it! Teamwork is a MUST for Mythic though.

No problem!

I really like playing mythic when people know what they are doing, it makes for a great experience!

Try to kill as many enemies in the 1st round as you can…especially when you link them together. For legendary or higher it is good to be at least at level 3 by the end of the 1st round to help out your team. That means getting as many points and combos as possible!
