For anyone like me on the Xbox that went to download the new update…
Initially the download did not show any progress being made - not even a 0% - it seemed stuck simply at the download initialization on the update page. Finally, nearly an hour later the download did finally start and began progressing as per usual. I simply waited.
I’ve seen posts before about cancelling or hard-reseting during updates that people thought were frozen that then caused further troubles when attempting to update. My suggestion is to be patient if you can.
Just thought this might help a few people.
I thought the update was a little unusual. It says it’s 30 gigs, but I read it was supposed to be around 10?

Sometimes it goofs and you have to reinstall everything. It’s a problem with Xbox and not 343 from what I understand.
Of course don’t restart if the update doesn’t start, but even people who didn’t restart had to download the full thing. (Both of my friends had to redownload the game. They didn’t restart their Xbox.)
What sucks is one of my friends started downloading their game at I think like 1 or 2pm EST, but their internet is so slow they won’t be able to play until tomorrow.
