PSA for Xbox players! Graphics mode is bugged!

This glitch is more obvious on the Xbox One consoles than the series consoles, but it’s worth knowing.

If you switch graphics mode to performance, it will revert back to quality mode every single new match, even if it still displays performance. You have to switch it to quality and back to performance to actually have it be on performance mode during each new match. This is very obvious on the One consoles, as it will run at 30 frames per second if you don’t switch it. On the Series X console, it’s not as noticeable, but I believe it’s affecting the frame rate there as well (aim feels slightly off without doing the switch).

You cant even change it on Series X, at least I can’t. Is that a bug or is it just running at full capacity?

If you think it is an bug you should report it to Waypoint with a ticket

I did but I want to inform others so they can make the necessary change.

I’ve had no issues with the Series X. I check my monitor to make sure ever now and then.

Does your monitor display 60 frames per second when you switch it to quality mode?

Yes, however I play usually at 1440p120

Okay. It’s strange because on my Series X I’ll notice occasional frame drops but it goes away right when I do the switch. And on the One X it is very clearly 30 FPS without switching.

I have VRR on my monitor so I wouldn’t see that.

Yes, really glad they have it working for this flight (even if we have to switch it back and forth every time something loads).

I have VRR as well but I still see significant drops without doing the switch. It isn’t consistent though. Not every match has that happen.

Same here dude, l tried changing quality to performance and get the less fluid movement of 30 fps on XBX1 X.l played MCC ,H5 for comparison and saw the 30/60fps difference.l hope when lnfinite launches, they offer a 1080p/1440p 60FPS mode for XB1 OG,S/X.

I hear you. Frankly even 900p at 60 would be worthwhile. 30FPS for a shooter this technical and fast-paced isn’t viable.

I wouldn’t bet on it. the game already runs at very low resolution and graphics settings at 30fps. Even without considering the CPU, I doub’t it’s possible

Agreed, on both points .30fps is sorely not viable for this game. However, l appreciate 343 for trying to accommodate previous gen ,and xbox as a whole for backwards compatibility. Especially now since getting a series X is difficult, unless by supporting the scalpers

I got extremely lucky with getting the Series X. I do commend your unwillingness to support scalpers—-Yoink- is lame as hell. Hopefully production ramps up Q4 so more people can have this amazing console.

Yes, I agree, looking at lnfinite, the gameplay, visuals, seeing it on Series X, options will be limited on X1

Thanks dude,l really hope production ramps up,but l am tempted to look at scalpers. Considering Thanksgiving,Christmas is coming, getting a Series X could become more difficult. I won’t mention the Halo infinite limited edition console!
