Some folks, myself included, have encountered the nefarious 0x80073CF0 error code when attempting to download the latest patch for Halo Wars 2. This error code is an issue with the Windows Store, where the store tries to download the update with an incomplete cached file.
Thankfully, fixing this issue is easy:
- Stop any Halo Wars 2 downloads and then restart your device - After your device has restarted, open File Explorer, type C:/Windows/SoftwareDistribution/Download into the search bar, and press the Enter key - Change the sorting to Date modified and delete the folder showing the most recent date and time. This is the folder containing the corrupted download. - Open Windows Store and retry the update.This worked for me. Best of luck to the rest of you!
